Assessment is the process of collecting and evaluating evidence to determine whether a trainee has achieved the required knowledge, skills and competence in a particular unit/course.
Assessment may include formative assessment, summative assessment, practical assessment, theory assessment and reassessment depending on the programme and requirements of the relevant assessment body.
Formative assessment is conducted during training to monitor a trainee's progress, identify areas requiring improvement and prepare the trainee for summative assessment.
Summative assessment is conducted at the end of a unit, module or specified training period to determine whether the trainee has achieved the required competence.
Trainees should complete the required assessment registration process within the registration period communicated by the Assessment Office and submit all required documents for registration.
You may not be registered for that assessment series. Contact the Assessment Office immediately for guidance.
Confirm your registered units with the Assessment Office and carefully check the assessment registration information before the registration deadline.
